Cheese Sauce
Ingredients
- 2 T margarine/butter
- 2 T flour
- 2 c milk (soy, almond, dairy...)
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 c shredded cheese (cheddar, or combined cheddar, smoked provalone, gouda)
Directions
- Melt margarine in a sauce pan on medium low
- Add flour and make a paste.
- Add milk and whisk until all the lumps are gone.
- Increase heat to medium and stir constantly until boiling.
- Reduce heat and stir until thickened.
- Add cheese, salt and pepper, and simmer until sauce is smooth.
