Vegan Gravy
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 6 cloves garlic, squashed and minced very well
- 3 slices onion, diced
- 1/2 cup all-purpose white flour
- 4 tsp nutritional yeast
- 4 tbsp tamari
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 tsp sage
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 5 or 6 white mushrooms, sliced (optional)
Directions
- Saute onion and garlic in oil in a saucepan until translucent.
- Mix in flour, nutritional yeast, and tamari to make a paste.
- Add remaining ingredients, bring to a boil and let simmer for a couple minutes.
